Brett Favre News

Why, Brett Favre, why? Why must Brett Favre keep doing this to himself, his team, his fans, and to the reputation of senior citizens everywhere. Brett Favre is acting like a typical old man; refusing to listen to the people that are suppose to look after him, (Head Coadh: Brad Childress), and insisting that he plays through injuries.

Yesterday Brett Favre busted up both his ankle and heel, and sources close to Favre are saying they have never seen him this hurt or dejected before. This is to say that Brett Favre is in no condition to play in Week 8, however something tells me Favre will force the start so that he can keep his iron man streak going, even if it hurts the Vikings.

Tarvaris Jackson Gets Ready

Then you have Tarvaris Jackson who was told he would have the starting position for the Vikings this season, but had it taken away when Favre un-retired. Jackson has been taking most of the snaps in practice but it is likely that Brett Favre will start in New England next week.

NFL Online Betting

Tom Brady and his long hair will host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6 NFL betting. If you follow along NFL blogs and player chat boards you may have heard a lot of trash talking between these teams. Mostly it was a couple of no-name players on the Ravens that were talking smack about Tom Brady, which Tom Brady replied,

"Since I have been a Patriot we have played these guys 5 times, and all 5 times we have won, yet before and after every single game these guys have something to say. I myself let my play do the talking, maybe they should do the same."

Ouch! At the end of the day I pity the fool and anybody who has the nerve to talk trash about Tom Brady. Brady has how many Super Bowl rings, and how many models, and how many guest appearances as himself on Entourage? More than most.

New England Patriots Betting Odds

Now it's not all about Brady, the Patriots have a pretty good team and are looking pretty good this season, even without Randy Moss. NFL online sportsbooks have the Patriots as -3 point favorites in this one which seems pretty reasonable. Take the Pats at -3 and the UNDER 44.5 points.

New York Giants Betting Odds

When Eli Manning hosts a party, you know there are going to be plenty of chaperones and non-alcoholic beer as is the case at the New Meadowlands Stadium where Manning and the Giants will play gracious hosts to the Detroit Lions.

Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, every team in the NFL marks a W next to the dates where they face the Lions. Even with all of the roster moves the Lions have made in the offeseason, they still have a tough time getting the Win.

NY Giants Betting Picks

The Bodog.com online sportsbook as the New York Giants favored at -10 points (-105) on point spread betting and the Lions at +10 points (-115). The total points are sitting at 43.5 points which should not be too hard to hit considering the numbers both of these teams have put up in their last few games.

If you have been following along with the progress of both of these teams this year you will notice that the Giants won some games because of good luck, whereas the Lions lost some games because of bad luck. Although I don't believe the Lions will win this game, this should be able to cover the spread.

Lay your money down on the Lions at +10 to cover.

Ben Roethlisberger Returns

The moment all NFL betting fans and College girls have been waiting for, Ben Roethlisberger is making his return to the NFL after serving out his 4 game suspension which was originally 6 games. Women and children lock your doors, Big Ben wants to play.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have done quite well without Roethlisberger. Between Dennis Dixon, Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich, the Steelers have a record of 3-1 without Ben. Undoubtedly the Steelers are a better team with Big Ben, but Mike Tomlin is really proud of his squad and how they were able to forge ahead without Roethlisberger in the lineup.

Ben Roethlisberger Makes His Debut

Ben's first game back isn't going to be a tough one, but he should be challenged just enough to see if he still has it. This Sunday the Cleveland Browns make their way into Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. Oddsmakers currently have the Steelers listed as -14 point home favorites which might sound crazy because this is not a College Football game, but considering how bad the Browns are and how good the Steelers can be with Roethlisberge in the lineup, the 14 point spread is justified.

Our free NFL betting pick is to take the Steelers at -14 points and for you to prepare yourself for a tsunami of Roethlisberger bandwagon jumpers come Monday.

Betting NFL Football

The NFL betting world is getting ready for NFL Week 5. Turn on your computer, check your Internet connection, and get ready to start making some money. Start by visiting BetUS.com and then pay close attention to the below NFL Football Betting predictions.

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will be hosting Matt Cassel and the Kansas City Chiefs this week. Online sportsbooks currently have the Colts listed as -7.5 (-110) point favorites and the Chiefs as +7.5 (-115) point road underdogs.

The Total points are sitting at Over/Under 43.5 points.

Week 5 NFL Predictions

This is the part you pay close attention to and stop staring at the above Peyton Manning picture.

Although Matt Cassel and the Kansas City Chiefs have looked impressive 4 weeks into the NFL betting season, it's hard for me to bet against Peyton Manning. Our NFL betting prediction is to take the Indianapolis Colts at -7.5 on the point spread and to take the Under.

Free NFL Betting Picks

In the NFL betting world, there is no such thing as a sure bet, mostly because whenever you murmur the words "sure bet" or "goose egg" in sports, something unforeseen always pops up. This coming NFL week we do not have a sure bet, however we do have a pretty good line.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are making their way into Buffalo, NY to face the Bills in a matchup of two sub par NFL teams.

The Jaguars are currently listed at -1 point favorites, and the Bills are the home underdogs at +1 point betting odds. The total points is currently set at 40.

NFL Free Picks

On most Sundays you probably would not have even looked twice at this game, but when you see a point spread like this you have to throw some money down and then watch every minute of the game with a smile on your face.

Although the Jaguars are not much better than the Bills, they are at least 2 points better. Take the Jacksonville Jaguars on the point spread at -1 and sit back and relax as your money rolls in!

Betting NFL Predictions

Now that Week 4 of the NFL betting season is in the books, our attention shifts towards the upcoming week. This week we have the Carolina Panthers hosting the Chicago Bears in Charlotte, North Carolina. From looking at the above picture, Jay Cutler is just as excited to be playing for Chicago as he was playing for Denver a couple of years ago.
As a Bronco Jay Cutler did not get much pass protection and spent most of his plays laying on the ground looking at interceptions being run back. Now as a Bear, he is getting smoked more than meat.
The Bodog.com online sportsbook currently has the Chicago Bears as -8 (-110) point favorites and the Carolina Panthers sitting at +8 (-110) betting odds on the point spread.
The Over/Under point totals on this match are sitting at O/U 40 ½ points at -110.

NFL Betting Week 5 Predictions

Now that we have gotten you all hot and bothered looking for NFL predictions, we bring you our winning picks below.

Although the Chicago Bears have looked shaky, the Carolina Panthers haven't looked any better. This should be a low scoring game, mostly won by the Bears defense. Take the Bears at -8 (-110) and to take the UNDER 40 1/2 points.

NFL Betting Picks

As we make our way into Week 4 of the NFL betting season the action is starting to heat up. Next up we have the New England Patriots heading into Miami to face the Dolphins.

Did you know that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are part Miami Dolphins owners? I'm thinking the Dolphins could use Lopez as their full back as Ricky Williams hasn't looked too great this season.

Online sportsbooks currently have the New England Patriots at -1 (-115) betting odds on the point spread, and the Miami Dolphins betting odds on the point spread are currently set at +1 (-110).

The total points is sitting at Over/Under 48 points.

The Over/Under totals on this game are currently posted at O/U 48 points at -110.

Monday Night Football Picks

Without further ado, we bring you our NFL Monday Night Football picks for Week 4 betting action.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have looked shaky thus far, however they are the Patriots, and the Patriots always find a way to win. Our NFL online betting prediction would be to take the Patriots at -1 (-115) and to take the OVER 48 points.

Hot NFL Teams

Hot streaks in the NFL are a dime a dozen, and they usually do not last more than 3-4 weeks. Current hot streaks in the NFL include the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Although the Bears and Steelers are the only two teams in the NFL going into Week 4 with 3-0 records, the Philadelphia Eagles are starting to pick up momentum with Michael Vick leading the charge.

NFL Betting Odds

As we go into Week 4, it is not very likely that there will still be 2 undefeated teams left standing.

The Chicago Bears go up against the New York Giants in New York.
The Bears are +4.5 underdogs in this game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens at home with Charlie Batch starting for the Steelers.
The Steelers are -3 point favorites.

Donovan McNabb goes back to Philadelphia for the first time with the Redskins to face off against Michael Vick and the upstart Eagles.
The Eagles are favored to win by 5.5 points.

Dez Bryant Dinner

And who says that Karma isn’t real? If you’ve been following the progress of rookie Dez Bryant in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys this season you may of heard that during spring camp he refused to carry the pads of veteran receiver Roy Williams.

An NFL hazing tradition, the rookie always carries the pads of a veteran player after practice. Even Terrell Owens did it this year after signing with the Bengals!

2 months after the fact, Dez Bryant got his payback in form of a $54,000 dinner tab. Another NFL tradition is for the rookies to pay the tab when the team goes out for their first regular season postgame dinner. Supposedly veteran Cowboys were ordering expensive wine bottles to go which caused the dinner bill to skyrocket.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Odds

Now that we know that the Cowboys are full, maybe they can take some of that energy onto the field during practices this week. The Cowboys have a bye week and will not be in action until Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. NFL betting odds for that week have yet to be posted.

Struggling NFL Teams

Going into NFL Week 4 there are a lot of notable teams struggling or play subpar from what online sportsbooks originally had them predicted as. As with every year, there are always teams who are expected to do bad, and they do, but what about the NFL teams that everyone predicted as going 3-0?

The Buffalo Bills are by no means one of the NFL teams that fans expected to go anywhere, and their recent woes have just gotten worse. The Buffalo Bills have cut their starting quarterback, Trent Edwards, who was the Bills starting quarterback the last 3 years.

The New York Giants are also having some issues with players not showing up to practice, and players who show up to games but are not competing as well as they should.

NFL Online Betting

It is always extremely important to follow the betting trends and against the spread betting patterns for struggling teams which can be found at any online sportsbook. As we are all aware, the real money from betting on NFL games comes from point spread betting, not betting on the moneyline. This is why it is extremely important to not just bet against struggling teams, but struggling teams playing hot teams.

NFL Player Injuries

In the NFL player injuries are as inevitable as player DUI offences. You cannot predict when they are going to happen, or to whom but when they do happen they can be the difference between a winning season, and a rebuilding season.

The most notable injuries in the first couple of Weeks of the NFL betting season are to Darrelle Revis and Dennis Dixon.

Darrelle Revis Injury

After being a contract holdout over the summer, Darrelle Revis finally signed with the New York Jets, but hurt himself in Week 2 while trying to cover Randy Moss. Revis is expected to not play until Week 5 when the Jets face off against the Minnesota Vikings.

Dennis Dixon Injury

Just when coach Mike Tomlin didn’t think things could get any worse with Ben Roethlisberger sitting out the first 4 games of the season, fill in starting quarterback Dennis Dixon obtained an injury in Week 3 and is expected to be replaced by Charlie Batch until Roethlisberger returns.

Injuries are an important factor when betting on NFL games and it is always a great idea to check the injury report on Sportsbook.com prior to placing your bets!

Take the Patriots at -7.5 (-110) and the Over at 43 points (-110).
See you satisfied NFL betting players tomorrow!

NFL Picks & Predictions

As we enter Week 1 of the NFL online betting season we have a lot of picks and predictions to go over with some key matchups brewing.

In this post we will be reviewing the Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills game in Buffalo.

To bet on this NFL game check out Sports Interaction, an online sportsbook that has all the different types of NFL betting that you can imagine.

Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills Betting Odds

Although this by far will not be the best NFL game on Sunday, it should be worth betting on. Both the Dolphins and Bills have weak starting quarterbacks in Chad Henne and Trent Edwards, so it will be interesting to see how their offences do.

Moneyline betting odds have the Dolphins at -120
Moneyline betting odds have the Bills at -110

Point spread betting lines currently have the Dolphins at -3.5 (-110) odds.
Point spread betting liens currently have the Bills at +3.5 (-110) odds.

Total betting odds are currently listed at 39 points (-110).

Although the Bills are usually a strong team when playing at home in the month of September, Miami’s defense is just going to be too much for the Bills. Take the Dolphins at -3.5 (-110) and the under at 39 points (-110).

Until next time, happy NFL betting!
