Hot NFL Teams

Hot streaks in the NFL are a dime a dozen, and they usually do not last more than 3-4 weeks. Current hot streaks in the NFL include the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Although the Bears and Steelers are the only two teams in the NFL going into Week 4 with 3-0 records, the Philadelphia Eagles are starting to pick up momentum with Michael Vick leading the charge.

NFL Betting Odds

As we go into Week 4, it is not very likely that there will still be 2 undefeated teams left standing.

The Chicago Bears go up against the New York Giants in New York.
The Bears are +4.5 underdogs in this game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens at home with Charlie Batch starting for the Steelers.
The Steelers are -3 point favorites.

Donovan McNabb goes back to Philadelphia for the first time with the Redskins to face off against Michael Vick and the upstart Eagles.
The Eagles are favored to win by 5.5 points.

Dez Bryant Dinner

And who says that Karma isn’t real? If you’ve been following the progress of rookie Dez Bryant in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys this season you may of heard that during spring camp he refused to carry the pads of veteran receiver Roy Williams.

An NFL hazing tradition, the rookie always carries the pads of a veteran player after practice. Even Terrell Owens did it this year after signing with the Bengals!

2 months after the fact, Dez Bryant got his payback in form of a $54,000 dinner tab. Another NFL tradition is for the rookies to pay the tab when the team goes out for their first regular season postgame dinner. Supposedly veteran Cowboys were ordering expensive wine bottles to go which caused the dinner bill to skyrocket.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Odds

Now that we know that the Cowboys are full, maybe they can take some of that energy onto the field during practices this week. The Cowboys have a bye week and will not be in action until Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. NFL betting odds for that week have yet to be posted.

Struggling NFL Teams

Going into NFL Week 4 there are a lot of notable teams struggling or play subpar from what online sportsbooks originally had them predicted as. As with every year, there are always teams who are expected to do bad, and they do, but what about the NFL teams that everyone predicted as going 3-0?

The Buffalo Bills are by no means one of the NFL teams that fans expected to go anywhere, and their recent woes have just gotten worse. The Buffalo Bills have cut their starting quarterback, Trent Edwards, who was the Bills starting quarterback the last 3 years.

The New York Giants are also having some issues with players not showing up to practice, and players who show up to games but are not competing as well as they should.

NFL Online Betting

It is always extremely important to follow the betting trends and against the spread betting patterns for struggling teams which can be found at any online sportsbook. As we are all aware, the real money from betting on NFL games comes from point spread betting, not betting on the moneyline. This is why it is extremely important to not just bet against struggling teams, but struggling teams playing hot teams.

NFL Player Injuries

In the NFL player injuries are as inevitable as player DUI offences. You cannot predict when they are going to happen, or to whom but when they do happen they can be the difference between a winning season, and a rebuilding season.

The most notable injuries in the first couple of Weeks of the NFL betting season are to Darrelle Revis and Dennis Dixon.

Darrelle Revis Injury

After being a contract holdout over the summer, Darrelle Revis finally signed with the New York Jets, but hurt himself in Week 2 while trying to cover Randy Moss. Revis is expected to not play until Week 5 when the Jets face off against the Minnesota Vikings.

Dennis Dixon Injury

Just when coach Mike Tomlin didn’t think things could get any worse with Ben Roethlisberger sitting out the first 4 games of the season, fill in starting quarterback Dennis Dixon obtained an injury in Week 3 and is expected to be replaced by Charlie Batch until Roethlisberger returns.

Injuries are an important factor when betting on NFL games and it is always a great idea to check the injury report on Sportsbook.com prior to placing your bets!

NFL Online Betting

We’ve been getting a lot of people asking why we are only posting one free NFL pick per day and while we would love to devote every second of every day to serve you, we do have to put some research into these NFL picks and there are so many hours in a day!

For all NFL betting odds and betting lines, check out the Bodog.com online sportsbook. Now the Bodog.com online sportsbook offers Live Betting which allows you to bet on any play in the game live.

In this post we will be reviewing the Cincinnati Bengals vs. New England Patriots game which will be played in New England on Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 PM EST.

Bengals vs. Patriots Betting Odds

We finally get to see the Batman & Robin show, as Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco like to call it, in action against a strong New England Patriots defense.

Moneyline betting odds have the Bengals at -135
Moneyline betting odds have the Patriots at +105

Point spread betting lines currently have the Bengals at +7.5 (-110) odds.
Point spread betting liens currently have the Patriots at -7.5 (-110) odds.

Total betting odds are currently listed at 43 points (-110).

This game should be a high scoring game with a lot of action so if you have a couple of hours free, this would be a great NFL game to watch this Sunday. Now that the Patriots have both Tom Brady and Wes Walker back, they are going to stomp over any team with a mediocre defense like the Bengals. Take the Patriots at -7.5 (-110) and the Over at 43 points (-110).
See you satisfied NFL betting players tomorrow!

NFL Picks & Predictions

As we enter Week 1 of the NFL online betting season we have a lot of picks and predictions to go over with some key matchups brewing.

In this post we will be reviewing the Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills game in Buffalo.

To bet on this NFL game check out Sports Interaction, an online sportsbook that has all the different types of NFL betting that you can imagine.

Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills Betting Odds

Although this by far will not be the best NFL game on Sunday, it should be worth betting on. Both the Dolphins and Bills have weak starting quarterbacks in Chad Henne and Trent Edwards, so it will be interesting to see how their offences do.

Moneyline betting odds have the Dolphins at -120
Moneyline betting odds have the Bills at -110

Point spread betting lines currently have the Dolphins at -3.5 (-110) odds.
Point spread betting liens currently have the Bills at +3.5 (-110) odds.

Total betting odds are currently listed at 39 points (-110).

Although the Bills are usually a strong team when playing at home in the month of September, Miami’s defense is just going to be too much for the Bills. Take the Dolphins at -3.5 (-110) and the under at 39 points (-110).

Until next time, happy NFL betting!

New York Jets in Hot Water

And judging from the above picture, this water is really hot! Now as much as I love random pictures of hot girls, the above picture actually has something to do with this post. The above hottie, Ines Sainz, has a booty just like her name, “in..sane”.

Ines Sainz, sports reporter for Mexico’s TV Azteca, was in New York earlier this week covering the New York Jets practice. While Sainz was trying to conduct herself in a professional matter, Jets’ Coaches and defensive backs were intentionally throwing balls (footballs) in her direction so that players could subtly get a good look at her while going for the ball.

Unfortunately for the Jets, they were not subtle enough as Sainz filed a complaint against the Jets organization with PETA, I mean Association of Women in Sports Media.

Jets Off field Distractions

In addition to making women feel uncomfortable at Jets practices, the Jets are currently also dealing with another off field distraction concerning Darrelle Revis.

Revis has yet to sign with the Jets and the team opens the regular season on September 13th in the Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Jets will be without Calvin Pace for this game who is recovering from a shoulder injury.

NFL Regular Season Betting

The NFL regular season has arrived and you know what that means…NFL betting time! To start the season off right we have 1 game scheduled on Thursday, 13 games slated for Sunday and then 2 more games for the Monday Night Football game.

To help you win some money, I’ve put together a preview of the Green Bay Packers versus Philadelphia Eagles game. This game will be played on Sunday, September 12th at 1:15 PM PST.

Before you continue reading, I need to mention that these picks are going to be pretty useless if you do not have an online sportsbook account to bet on NFL games. If that is the case, check out the Bodog.com online sportsbook and get an instant 10% bonus.

Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting Lines

The Packers are currently the favorites as they head into Philadelphia to face Andy Reid and the Eagles. This game is going to give us all a good look at the new Eagles without Donovan McNabb who signed with the Washington Redskins last season.

Moneyline betting odds have the Packers at -115
Moneyline betting odds have the Eagles at -105

Point spread betting lines currently have the Packers at -3 (-110) odds.
Point spread betting liens currently have the Eagles at +3 (-110) odds.

Total betting odds are currently listed at 53 points (-110).

With the Total sitting at 53 points, this is likely to be a very high scoring game. My money is going on the Packers at -3 as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are just too good to be defeated by the new Eagles.

Week 1 NFL Betting Picks

The moment we have all been waiting for is only 6 sleeps away, and I’m not talking about 2 for 1 Thursdays at your local strip club!
The 2010 NFL betting season kicks off the regular season with a Thursday game that is a rematch of last season’s NFC conference title game between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings.

As we all remember, the game ended pretty badly for Favre and the Vikings who lost in overtime, but things went pretty well for the Saints who went on to win the Super Bowl.

Saints & Vikings Betting Odds

Currently odds makers have the New Orleans Saints as favorites, mostly because they are a better team and will be playing at home in the Superdome in New Orleans.

Moneyline betting odds have the Saints at -135
Moneyline betting odds have the Vikings at +125

Point spread betting lines currently have the Saints at -4.5 (-110) odds.
Point spread betting liens currently have the Vikings at +4.5 (-110) odds.

Total betting odds are currently listed at 49 points (-110).

If you are still undecided as to where to place your bet, betting on the Saints at -4.5 points at home are pretty good odds and I would jump on those. You can bet on this game as well as all NFL games at Sports Interaction and get a 100% signup bonus!

Darrelle Revis Contract Dispute

As we inch closer to NFL regular season play, the Jets are still without one of their best players, Darrelle Revis. The All-Pro cornerback is still holding out for money and Jets fans are starting to question whether if Revis is worth it.

Revis is an incredibly talented cornerback and when he has been matched up against the likes of Randy Moss, Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, he has completely shut them down every time.

Darrelle Revis is reportedly seeking close to $50 million for 4 years and sources close to the Jets are saying they are close to reaching a deal.

New York Jets Betting Odds

If Revis signs with the Jets, their chances of winning a divisional title and making it to the AFC conference will significantly increase. With Mark Sanchez at quarterback and the newly acquired LaDainian Tomlinson in the back field, the Jets are currently favored at 6/1 betting odds to win the AFC title.
